Risk Management Account Executive

Position Description:
The position of Account Executive at Andreini & Company's Risk Management Department requires creative thinking, ability to problem solve, positive attitude, desire to help and work with others, work without direct supervision and bring new ideas to the company.

This position involves working with Producers and Account Managers in all offices of the company to assist them in selling, marketing and presenting large account options to prospects and existing clients. The position also requires ability to respond to any technical coverage question in all areas of insurance.

• The position requires sales and verbal presentation skills as well as analytical and writing skills.
• The person should have a curious and questioning mind and enjoy research and resolving coverage and program design problems.
• An advanced insurance designation, such as CPCU or ARM, is preferred.
• The person should have experience with, and knowledge of, all alternatives to traditional insurance including Large Deductible programs, Self-insurance, Captives and Rent-a-captives, Risk Retention and Risk Purchasing Groups, and other risk financing techniques.
• The person should have knowledge of the insurance companies writing alternative programs and the ability to craft proposals and applications that will be met with positive responses from underwriters.
• The person should have excellent technical skills in all areas of insurance including professional liability and claims-made terms and conditions.
• The person should have the ability to prepare and present data using EXCEL spreadsheets and Power Point.

Some of the specific functions of the Risk Management include:

• This department is the repository for all technical insurance knowledge in the company. This department maintains the Risk Management Library. This department responds to Producer and Account Manager inquiries from all offices of the company regarding coverage questions and large risk alternatives.
• This department is responsible for research and writing position papers on all matters of insurance including assistance in E&O prevention procedures.
• This department assists Producers in all offices of the company in presenting Andreini & Company's large risk capabilities to accounts wherever located.
• This department assists in preparing specifications for quotation including loss analysis and projections.
• This department, in coordination with the Marketing Director, markets large accounts and those seeking alternatives to traditional insurance to appropriate insurance markets.
• This department, in coordination with the Marketing Director, is responsible for maintaining relationships with the Risk Management/National Accounts departments of all major insurers.
• This department is responsible for reviewing and thoroughly understanding all insurance company quotations and proposals.
• This department, in concert with the Producer, is responsible for preparation and presentation of Proposals using the best available format, which may include a Power Point presentation.
• This department works closely with our Claims Management and Loss Control staff to ensure service commitments are met on large accounts.
• This department is responsible for maintaining knowledge of all alternative risk financing techniques and should be prepared to move forward quickly with such alternatives as true captives, rent-a-captives or self-insurance. Knowledge of domiciles, legal requirements, capital requirements, and fees is important.
• This department interfaces with the company's traditional Customer Service Department for purposes of providing in-force service as required on large accounts or those involved in non-traditional programs.
